Kids are weirdly in love with this skeleton. We also bought a bag of bones to play with, because that's normal? This weekend it's time to decorate for halloween.
Life continues to be busy! On Monday this guy turned EIGHT. Grandma made a football cake. Kiddo was more impressed than he looks in this photo.
Eight is GREAT. I'll add that to my kid age rhymes:See it through till two
Survive to five
Eight is great
Last weekend I took the twins to Castle Coch to look at leaves but the leaves hadn't changed a lot. I am just ready for leaves! It was an adorable expedition without leaves, and I even remembered to send a photo to Elisabeth for the Cool Bloggers Walking Club:
My mom is here right now and she brought a Trader Joe's care package and it is the best! I know I'm in my 40s but I can still love a care package right? Also, how come it took me 15 years of living in the UK to realize that all I ever want from the US is everything from Trader Joes?
I have been weirdly curious about the Pilot Juice + Pen:
Because I couldn't find it in the UK I became more and more curious, and finally I ordered it from JetPens, which is a US pen company that imports from Japan, and had them sent to the US, and then ferried over to me. The Japanese company had weirdly complicated customs fees and the Swedish company that seemed to import/export seems curious and sometimes you just need to go with what's easiest even if the easiest thing is shipping pens from Japan to the USA and then to the UK.
They are fun pens. I like writing things with them.

What a fun cake!! And there is something SO exciting about a care package. It really does make one feel... cared for <3
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love Pilot Juice and I might need to branch out from black and blue and get some colours...
Castle Coch! My favorite Welsh castle! It looks like a sunny day! Also I can't believe how big the girls have gotten only since last year! It feels like way longer than that since I was there, but it was not even a year ago! Those pens look awesome; I do love Japanese products. When I was there in March I spent hours at a department store looking at all of the beauty products, stationary products and electronics! They were all a bit more expensive than in the US so I did not buy them (plus I have no room in my bag) but some of them were very fun and very high quality!
ReplyDeleteI'm tempted by the Pilot juice+ pens...very tempted. TJ's care packages FTW!
ReplyDeleteI don't have any skeletons lying around but I would LOVE a football cake. Happy 8!
I do not have a house skeleton but I love yours! Eight IS great, happy birthday to your big boy! What a wonderful cake, and what a fabulous care package.
