Goodbye July

July was a very mixed month. Isaac finished his first year of School.  My brother visited for a week and it was super fun to see him spend time with the older kids as they stop being babies/toddlers and start being little people.  He taught Isaac chess and we went to the climbing wall together, among other adventures

He also cooked us dinner twice.  It's fun with annoying little brothers become fun real people with life skills.
The Twins are growing and growing and it turns out what we thought was teething may have been hunger so we are on a FEED ALL THE TIME schedule.  This is my current food schedule:

6am Nurse twins
7am Family Breakfast
10am Snack for everyone
12:30 Lunch
3:30 Nurse twins
4:30 Snack for everyone
5:30 Dinner
6:30 Nurse Nora / Audrey bottle

I probably need to eat fewer of these meals because I've managed to gain weight.  I blame the addition of exercise into my life - I'm hungry.

July was a great month for exercise, at least until the last week which I took off due to heat and house guests.  I ran two Parkruns, including a very respectable (for me) 5K time of 30 minutes.  I incorporated a lot of 20 minute workouts into my days.  I bought 7KG weights!  I haven't missed any sessions with my gym buddy since I joined his gym.

Goals update:

I read 5 Books in JulyFunny Story, The Husbands, and Elinor Oliphant is completely fine were definitely the best reads.  The Idea of You was not good.  Happily Never After was cute but forgettable. (2024 Goal is 50 books.  Currently at 32)

I made 1 charcuterie board in July (2024 goal was to make more charcuterie boards)

I had a massage and got my hair cut in July (2024 goal - one Rachel thing a month)

I definitely strength trained frequently for some of the month (2024 goal strength train regularly)

How was your July?  Are you in the swing of things our is the swing swinging you?
